Curriculum Premise

Teens

The goal of this 10-day short course is to impart financial wisdom through interactive projects that will lead students to a better understanding of how to make, manage, multiply, and protect money. This integrated curriculum is built around a series of three in-class projects that are hands-on and extremely relevant to your students' financial futures.

The primary objective of the Financial Literacy for Teens student book and this curriculum will be to change the way your students think about money. Teachers are encouraged to serve as facilitators of the in-class projects and to refrain from "teaching" content until the "Wrap-Up" time allocated at the conclusion of each "Day" lesson plan. This curriculum is designed for implementation over 10 class periods; however, it is completely flexible so you may make adjustments to meet individual class schedules and learning objectives.
